Managing Health and Safety at work is a challenging business, especially when you don't have an experienced Health and Safety employee in your workforce, or if you do not need to employ one full time. This is where a "Bolt-On" Health and Safety Consultancy Service can help, whether it is for a one time Fire Extinguisher Service or a long term project, we can offer you a personalised service.
Health and Safety Legislation
Keeping up to date with Health and Safety Legislation can be daunting, especially for businesses without a dedicated Health and Safety representative. Complying with this legislation, however, is imperative for your employees and for you. We can help to ensure risk-based activities have been identified. Removing these violations can aid in preventing workplace injury and possible prosecutions.
Construction (CDM - 15)
Complying with CDM 2015 helps ensure that no-one is harmed during a project as well as ensuring that your building is safe to use and maintain. Whether you are a building owner, user or managing agent, you have a legal responsibility when undertaking minor works, small-scale building work or maintenance works. If you are the Client, Principal Designer, Principal Contractor or Sub-Contractor we can offer you a tailored service to ensure you are meeting your legal responsibilities.
Fire Extinguisher Servicing
Fire extinguisher servicing is essential to any business/building site and is documented in BS 5306. They must work when needed and your monthly visual checks must be supplemented by an annual service by a "competent person". We can be that competent person, conducting your annual inspection.
Once we have completed the service, we will discuss if any further action is required such as replacing unserviceable portable extinguishers.
Qualitative Face Fit Testing
Face Fit Testing is designed to protect workers from harmful chemicals and dust, which can account for thousands of deaths each year. These deaths include work-related lung disease and cancer, which Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) has been designed to protect against.
However recent research indicates that up to 50% of all RPE does not offer the wearer the level of protection required, meaning that people could be falling ill and dying for something as simple as not carrying out a face fit test.
We can provide face fit testing at your location for 10 users over a half day's service, or 20 users over a full day's service.
